What they’re saying…

“I just wanted to take some time to thank you for the wonderful experience that you have given me. It has been a lot of fun, and I am so thankful to have worked with you. You are efficient, imaginative, and professional; and I really respect all of those qualities. Thank you again for the opportunity, and I hope we get to work together again in the future.”

Shelby Floyd, “The Rocky Horror Show” - JCCC, 2008 (Magenta)

“Thanks again for your help. Daria felt that she was thoroughly prepared and she wouldn’t have changed anything about the audition!”

Linda LeGrand, (mother of acting student Daria LeGrand.)
Daria was subsequently cast as Scout in Kansas City Rep’s 2008 production of “To Kill A Mockingbird”.

“What impressed me most about being directed by Eric in BUS STOP was the way he let me find the character while at at the same time, helped me find the character. And his way of explaining his vision of the show and relationships was so clear and enlightening. I hope the future will find me both acting with him, and performing under his direction again.”

Bruce Efron, “Bus Stop” - The Barn Players, 2006 (Virgil)

“He makes even the most mundane and boring plays interesting and exciting.”

Alex Bigus, acting student (Oklahoma City University)

“Katie got the part at the Coterie (the 2006-2007 production of “The Giver”. She is thrilled. and we are both very grateful for your help. You not only gave her confidence going in…but you called everything exactly right. They only had her read from the page with the long paragraph and she felt very prepared.”

Laura Hall (mother of acting students Katie & Rebecca)

“Cindy came in 2nd in commercial and photography (in talent competitions in Florida), and was a finalist in runway. It was a great experience, and she had some good feedback from both coasts. In September we flew to NYC for a follow up with some agents/clients, and while there, she auditioned for the School of American Ballet and got in! As of last week (mid-October), Cindy is living in Manhattan, she is enrolled at SAB and Broadway Dance Center, and she is signed with FFT for print work and was just offered to be represented by Jordan, Gill & Dornbaum for TV, movies, legit. Again thank you for working with her. You are a great coach!”

Kristin Joo (mother of acting student Cindy Joo)

“Eric made me feel like I was really the characer, and not just an actor.”

Dylan Coons (acting student)

“The most amazing director, he brings passion and life to all things theatre. Whenever you are around him, he always brings the energy of someone who is directing for the first time. Even though he has been involved in theater for a long time, it never feels dull, and you’re always appreciated, whether it be as simple as an extra with no lines, or a lead in a major production.”

Ethyn Gutierrez
(Acting Student & High School Student teacher Under Eric.)

“What an amazing director to work with! From when I was running a spotlight, to when I was up onstage in a lead role, I always had a ton of fun and learned so much. He made every show amazing, and without a doubt, theater the last two years were some of the best times of my life. I’m proud to have been in productions with him as my director.”

Kayla McKinney
(Former Frontier Trail student)

Welcome to “Acting with Magnitude”

I’m looking forward to doing the thing I love most…talking about acting with other actors.

Click on “private coaching” for more information about scheduling a session and send me an e-mail by clicking “contact info” when you are ready to go to work. I’ll be happy to schedule a session with you on Saturdays or Sundays.

All of you high school students that are preparing for college auditions and are needing some extra work and individual attention, drop me a line.

The “upcoming performances” section includes productions I’m in, productions I’m directing and productions that feature my students.

The “photos” section will include pictures of productions I’ve acted in and those I’ve directed.

There is also an extensive “links” section for resources relating directly to theatre.

So…what are you waiting for? If you are ready to really dig into the art of acting, contact me today. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
